JAG is a Career Advancing Association designed to enhance and perfect the, gifts, talents and soft-skills of students as they head into post secondary/project based career opportunities.
Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) is a state-based national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young people of great promise. JAG is delivering the best results in its 40-year history, while serving youth who face significant challenges, to help them reach economic and academic success.
The JAG Board of Directors is made up of leading Governors, C-Suite Executives of the Fortune 500, and National Community Leaders. JAG State Affiliates deliver the data driven, high-impact JAG Model program across 1400 middle schools, high schools, and other locations in their states.
The Multi-Year Program helps 9th to 12th graders prepare for and successfully complete high school, lasting to 60 months. Students are recruited in the 8th grade to attend JAG instructional classes during the 9th, 10th, 11th and/or 12th grade and receive support services for one year following graduation.
JAG’s Alternative Education Program is very similar to the Multi-Year Program, except students are not taking classes in a traditional high school program. Specialists work with 25-35 students to provide enhanced individual counseling and support services required by participants so they overcome and cope with challenges that may prevent students from staying in school through graduation or transitioning into the workplace and/or pursuing a postsecondary education.
