From the Principal
We are committed to improving educational outcomes for all students. We have the largest attendance zone in Baton Rouge, and the diversity of our backgrounds and experiences is our greatest asset. Every stakeholder brings value to our team, and we are committed to providing state-of-the-art diploma pathways that challenge our students to meet the needs of an ever-changing economy. From our technology-based courses to our dual enrollment offerings, we have created unique learning experiences that will lead to real world success.

BUILDING LEADERS TO GROW THE COMMUNITY
In addition to the eight AP courses and three dual-enrollment course offerings, students who graduate from the Cy-Tech Magnet Academy may earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree in computer science. Career-minded students may choose from several state-of-the-art pathways, including a computing pathway that offers courses in partnership with LSU. Tara is a National Math and Science Initiative-partnered school and also an Upward Bound partner. Extracurricular activities and athletic opportunities include football, soccer, baseball, softball, cross country, bowling, volleyball, basketball, track, I CARE Team Spirit, RISE, FBLA, Dazzling Diamonds, Starlites, band and a coding club. The Junior ROTC program has won a plethora of awards and honors for rifle team, drill and unarmed drill.
News & Announcements
This year, school uniform policy has changed, and every student must purchase uniform items from our online store ONLY. The online store offers students a great deal of choice in outerwear. The uniform policy is that students may wear the items in our online store. The link to the store is included below, and we encourage all students to purchase uniforms prior to July 15 so that they may be picked up the first week in August, prior to the first day of school.
Please place your orders for your shirts, sweatshirts and jackets today using the link below. We recommend that students buy at least 2 shirts, a sweatshirt and a jackets. Students must wear sneakers for shoes- no crocs, slides, boots, etc.
